The BIG collage swap!

After another hugely productive day where all of the artists seemed to hit their stride creatively, we had a fun end to the day. Each of the artists was briefed to bring three collages that they were prepared to swap for another artist’s work.

So we packed up the scissors and glue for the day and got some beer, wine and pizzas in for the ‘BIG collage swap’.

There were three rounds. All the artists names were in one pot and the numbers of each of the collages were in another. A name was pulled out at random and the chosen artist then picked a random number to claim a collage. There were two rules:

1. You couldn’t draw out your own collage.
2. You couldn’t have more than one collage from any other artist.

It was great fun and there were lots of stunning collages offered up.

It’s definitely something we’ll do again on our next residencies.
