The Contemporary Collage Magazine Awards are back – and we think they’re going to be better than ever! This year, we’ll be releasing two categories per quarter for you to enter. That means more time for you to create and refine your submissions, & more time for us to carefully judge each category. It also allows us to publish the results in every issue of Contemporary Collage Magazine, celebrating your work all year long! Take a look at this quarter’s categories and get submitting – we can’t wait to see your collages!
The Categories

Commissioned/Editorial
Single or multiple images
This category celebrates collage work made to a brief – whether commercial or a bespoke personal commission. Think magazine editorials, book jackets, newspaper illustrations, album artwork, surface pattern, installation pieces, family portraits, commissioned art pieces and beyond.

CATEGORY 6
Open call : Monochrome
SINGLE IMAGE (1 image) OR SERIES (4 - 10 images)
Less is more in this category. We're after collages built around a single colour — a restrained palette that lets tone, texture and contrast do the talking. Black & white is only the start: send us your all-blue, all-pink, all-orange or all-green work too. The rule is simple — one colour, however you choose to explore it.

Three entries into any category
With three entries, you can mix and match which categories you enter. Please note, three entries does not strictly mean three images. You can enter Series with 4 – 10 images and this is classed as one entry.

Ten entries into any category
With 10 entries, you can enter each category multiple times. Please note, three entries does not mean three images. You could enter Series or Human Figure series with up to 10 images and this is classed as one entry. You could also enter Human Figure: Single Image, with 10 images and this is classed as 10 entries.

Submission Guide
Please, please, please…read this guide thoroughly before submitting your work.
Once you have purchased your entries, you will be sent a link to download the instructions for the Contemporary Collage Magazine Awards 2025. Within this you will find the links to upload your submissions, a Word Document for your bio and artist statement, and an example submission to refer to.

Images should be JPEG, 300dpi and be no smaller than 5 MB in size.
Please label each image file in the following format :
name_title_instagram handle.jpg
i. e. LesJones_untitled_lesjonescollage.jpgWe will need work to be submitted in a folder that is labelled with your name and the category you’re entering.
We will need 1 folder PER ENTRY
The folder should be labeled as the following:
Name_Category
I.e Les Jones_Memory Series
If you are submitting multiple entries to one category, please number each entry, i.e
Les Jones_Representational Series 1
Les Jones_Representational Series 2We will not consider any image that does not meet these requirements so please make sure that all your submitted imagery is named correctly and of good resolution.

Once you have purchased you're awards entry, you will be prompted to download the Awards Pack, in here we have included everything you need to know to enter the awards.
This includes :
• An example entry - refer to this to make sure you have labeled everything and filed your work correctly.
• A word doc to fill in your bio and statement (statements are project specific and must be updated for each entry, bios can stay the same)
• Instructions on labelling and filing formats, image specifications and the links to upload your entries to the relevant Dropbox folders. -
Please check the corresponding dates and categories above. These will also be available in the information you will receive after purchasing your entries.

In each of the categories, you may enter works in the following mediums:
• Analogue collage
• Mixed media (with at least 70% collaged elements)
• Digital collage
• Assemblage (three dimensional works/objects)

In each category there will be three prize levels - Gold, Silver and Bronze.
All recognised artists will receive:
• £25 (bronze winners) or £50 (silver winners) to spend on the Contemporary Collage Magazine website• A digital certificate
• Inclusion in our Awards gallery on our website
• Permission to use the CC. Magazine Awards logo in their own communications.
In addition to the above, category winners will receive:
• A dedicated post on our Instagram page
• Inclusion in wider PR about the awards
• £100 to spend in on the Contemporary Collage Magazine website
