GF Smith Challenge
This challenge is all about colour, specifically, the stunningly beautiful colours of GF Smith’s Colorplan range of papers.
When you order the challenge, you will receive a pack of 30 different coloured A5 sheets from the Colorplan range. Your challenge is simply to create a collage with them. It could be a landscape, still life, portrait, poster, abstract or something else. There’s only one rule – you can only use the Colorplan papers to create your collage.

“I found myself with this challenge towards the end of winter and with a seemingly longer winter this year, I was eagerly waiting for Spring to come and see trees fuller with life. I had made some drawings of trees in my sketchbook and I knew I wanted to recreate them as collages. The colors that GF Smith papers offered had a wide array—from vibrant oranges, pinks, and reds to subdued yellows, greens, and blues. Keeping a limited palette of three colors, I tried different combinations of brighter, bolder colors with more muted or darker ones, as those combinations complimented each other the best. It was a fun exercise cutting into shapes of tree trunks, branches, fruits, and leaves—playing around and figuring out the placement of cut pieces in the chosen frame until the composition felt balanced to me. Here's to trees, colour, and life!”

We’re delighted to introduce our fun colour challenge in collaboration with leading UK paper merchant, GF Smith.
The challenge is all about colour, specifically, the stunningly beautiful colours of GF Smith’s Colorplan range of papers. Colorplan represents an exceptional achievement in paper making. Over the last 80 years GF Smith has continually refined, perfected and pushed the range to its limits, which now includes 55 colours all of which are made sustainably, in Great Britain
