The next chapter
We’re developing a new online home for collage, and we'd love you to be one of the first members!
From Molly, Wilf and me: thank you. Over the past five years, you've helped Contemporary Collage Magazine become something we're incredibly proud of. It's been quite a journey, and we hope it's one we can continue together.
❋ A thank youIn 2021, I launched Contemporary Collage Magazine because I was shocked by how little provision there was for collage artists across the world. I believed then, and still do, that collage needs a platform where artists can have their work shown and inspire others.
Together with Molly, I set out to create a beautiful magazine that any artist would be proud to be featured in. We think we've delivered on that.
❋ Why we startedThe past year has been very tough. Rising prices, increasingly complicated and punitive customs and tariffs, and a subscription platform that let us down badly have brought us to a stark choice: evolve or fold.
We're choosing to evolve
❋ Why things have to changeWe've spent the past few months developing a new approach that relies less on postage and third-party systems, and focuses on high-quality, accessible content for any artist in the world, at a low cost.
❋ What's next: the Contemporary Collage PlatformTHE PLATFORM
Contemporary Collage platform will be everything you love about the magazine, and more:
Inspirational features: the same artist stories and imagery you know from the magazine but this time available as video as well as written articles
Online tutorials and courses: learn new techniques at your own pace
Podcasts: conversations with collage artists and creatives
Webinars: live sessions and chances to connect
Online exhibitions: new ways to showcase and discover work
Search by artist, theme or style: find exactly what inspires you
All of this will be available for a small monthly membership fee.
How you can help
We're launching on Kickstarter, and we're asking you to join us before the platform goes live. By signing up early, you'll help carry us through this transition and be among the very first members of the new platform.
As a thank you, we've created exclusive rewards just for Kickstarter backers, including:
Collage tutorials
A Kickstarter edition of Collage_This
One-on-one mentoring sessions with Les Jones
Original collages
...and lots more!
Each reward tier includes 1 month’s access to the new platform, which we will aim to deliver by early December. If the campaign doesn’t reach it’s target by the set date, you’ll automatically get your money back.
