Contemporary Collage Workshops
Whether you’re a seasoned professional or simply dipping your toe into a new creative hobby, our Contemporary Collage Workshops are designed to suit all levels of experience. We offer technique-focused courses that introduce new approaches to your practice, workshops that encourage fresh ways of thinking, and introductory sessions for anyone curious to explore this exciting medium.
All courses are led by collage artist and founder of Contemporary Collage Magazine, Les Jones, and are guaranteed to leave you feeling creatively energised and inspired.
Less is More - collaging with limitations
Far from being a restriction, working with a limited palette of materials can focus the mind and stimulate creativity, often leading to fresh approaches and new avenues of exploration. In this hands-on one day workshop, Les Jones will take participants through a number of creative collage exercises working with limited materials. By the end of the day you will have created 4-5 new collages and leave with new ideas and techniques to take your collage practice forward.

Mark-making and creative collaging
On this one-day creative workshop, you will spend the morning creating your own collage materials using a range of mark-making mediums, papers and techniques. After lunch, you will spend the afternoon creating new collage works using the materials you’ve produced. The workshop will help you develop new approaches to collage that will help you develop your own unique visual language and style.

An introduction to contemporary collage
Collage is a vibrant, accessible and versatile art medium that is growing in popularity. Not only is it a great creative outlet, it is also a relaxing and mindful activity. On this one day workshop, Les Jones will introduce you to a number of collage materials, techniques and approaches and you will spend the day experimenting with colour, composition and content.
